Hello 6gc,
We got lucky this year and enjoyed an Indian summer, which makes for fantastic turbo weather. However the freezing temps did have to come eventually and now I can't help but feel as though my engine is a little buzzier. I may just be losing my mind, but it certainly feels as though there is more vibration being transmitted to the frame on acceleration. Cruising is smooth, and so is idling. I checked all of the motor mounts and made sure the trans bolts are secured. Do you guys think the cold temps are simply making the rubber in the motor mounts stiffer? Nevermind! I checked the motor mounts and found that the through bolt was too high up on the slot of the front mount bracket. Thus twisting the motor and preloading the front and rear mounts. This probably happened when I made the decision to install the front motor mount before the rear motor mount. Anyway all I did was looses the through bolt, and re-tighten once the motor was settled. No more buzzy acceleration
