hey everyone, quick question
will it effect my ride at all if i have 2 different size tires on my rims? i have 2 - 215/35/18s and 2 - 225/40/18s i was planning on running the 225/ 40s in the front and the 215/35s in the rear... can anyone think of anything that would go wrong from this as long as i keep the pairs matching like 2 in the front and 2 in the rear? thanks guys -------------------- NOVAKx17

If you don't have AWD, having different tire sizes between front and back shouldn't affect you as long as you're going in a straight line. One axle simply has to spin faster than the other to make up the difference in distance covered per rotation.
However, you'll notice it in the handling. The 215/35 are 23.92 inches in diametre, close enough to stock to work. A 225/40 is 25.08 inches in diametre, well outside of what should be used to maintain speedometre accuracy and handling characteristics as designed. |
