So I have a 5sfe GT and I pulled off the thermostat housing and the gasket ripped so I'm going to need a new one. Ran to oreilly, autozone, and pepboys and they all came out with the water outlet gasket only. Not the thermostat housing gasket. What is it really called? I mean I'm pretty sure I got it right? Thermostat housing gasket.....I searched on trademotion.com and it has a ipb of the cooling system but it doesn't show the piece I need. Makes me wander if the 5sfe really does need a gasket for the thermostat housing or not? Nope I'm not talking about the thermostat gasket either. It's a paper material gasket. Any ideas?

If Toyota says it didn't come with a gasket...

Having changed thermostat on a couple different variants of the 5SFE, and none required the housing to have a gasket. If properly installed, the gasket on the thermostat provides the seal.
