Well I'm getting bored of my car. I want to to be faster, and just more fun and rewarding to drive. I want to know if there's anything I can do to improve it to keep my interest in the car.

I know I'm joining this late, and didn't feel like reading the plethora of BS shenanigans that some members choose to post, so I'll say what I'm doing to keep myself from buying an MR2.
The American 6GC is not designed to be fast. You can make it fast... but that also leads to reliability issues. Personally, I decided to route my focus towards aesthetics. Already had fun with the Koni yellow's and Eibach's... but now I'd rather have a lower, more stanced look. So, I'm changing my direction from making it a quick car, to making it a fun, slow car lol. Being slow can be fun too... it's all in how your head is screwed on. I drove my friends slammed Jetta and loved the feeling of being so low and wide. I've never seen a 6GC around here with the picture I have in my head as a setup Idk if this scene is right for you, but it's definitely one route for making yourself more interested in your car.. Make yours original, do what YOU want with it and do little things here and there. The first thing I had to do to it was to make the interior MINE. It's where you'll be spending most of your time (unless your a swap head, who spends most of his time under the hood. Huhuhuhu) and deserves the most attention IMO. That's why I spend the money on the gauge, cluster bezels, carbon fiber shifter, leather, brake handle, and the LED kit. Now that I've got it to where I want it, I'm focusing on the exterior. One thing that can be said about the Celica; the driving experience around the city and around the twisties is something I've never felt in another car. It's unique. It had sat for 2 years without being run, cleaned, or moved. I opened it up, cleaned out the spider webs, checked the oil, put a battery in the back and tried. First crank, no result. Second crank, it made some noise. Third, it started right up and kept running on 2 year old fuel. The thing had a spunk to it and a personality... I might just be a sentimental softie, but this car was fantastic. I've driven a Miata too, and it was a first gen, first production run, #150+/-. I could only smile while driving it. I might have looked gay or like someone in midlife crisis, but I was happy. The Miata is an experience all to it's own, just like the 6GC. Something about having the open top with the rear axle right behind your, rwd, and the smallness of the thing just felt right. That's part of the reason I want an MR2. (for the rwd and smallness) But I don't see myself selling or getting rid of the 6G. If I do, I'm almost positive I'll buy another lol.
