So I was removing my steering knuckle and I had to rotate the strut (still bolted up on top) and it makes this loud rubber? rubbing like noise.. is this normal? seems to be the same on the other side as well.
I'm just trying to fix up my 94 GT to be road worthy again. It need a clutch, replacement steering knuckle, and I think the front main seal is leaking pretty bad. -------------------- |

From spinning it? It should turn, not always easily, but it should rotate. There are tabs on the mount that attach to the strut rod at the top with allow it to rotate as an assembly. You could be hearing the seal on the rod.
Are they cartridges, or OEM? |
