Hey everyone this is my first post.
I own a convertible 96 celica and my plan for this year is to swap it for a beams engine many suggest i go with turbo but personally i much rather go with n/a power ive seen in the forums countless times the swap done on convertibles and gt models, but anyways to the point. not sure if anyone has covered this, i do however know it has been done before countless times but i was simply wondering if anyone has done a gauge cluster conversion from the beams st202(jdm) into a st204 gauge cluster (usdm). ive seen a video on youtube and want mine to like that except im not exactly sure what to do if i should remove the rpm white faceplate and gas and temp ton my usdm cluster or if i should simply take out my black mph speed gauge and place it on the st202(not sure if the st202 cluster bolts right up) but yes i need as much info as possible you guys im really trying to get this project come true if i didnt make sense hopefully this vid will demonstrate what i mean. at exactly 0:54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbXj0aKty8U thanks guys -------------------- |

id say go with the beams cause its a good engine and i have one myself, but in the convertible chassis the power to weight ratio isn't that good. so 3rd gen 3sgte in stock form with lsd would be best option.
the coupe GT celica is 25 lbs lighter than liftback celica that is if both come with hardtops http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=88961&hl= This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Mar 28, 2013 - 3:03 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
