So I'm going to start putting together the engine soon and I've already got the crank polished and new bearings bought. Machinist said I needed std bearings, and that the crankshaft was good, but I still want to check for clearances.
I have no idea where to buy plastigauge so any help is appreciated. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

You can always do it the proper way meassure the crank journals and rod caps do a bit of math then figure out what clearances you want then choose the bearings.
Plastigauge is a crud way, but better than noting! -------------------- ![]() Cleaning and improving my new found yoter little by little. |
