I am about halfway done with my second AWD build and I think it's time to start selling all the research and develpoment I've made over the past couple years. I've been getting alot of pm's about the rear subframe mounts so here is the deal. I need a set for my current project and I would like to get them laser cut, so it will be relatively easy to get multiple sets cut at the same time. If you are interested in a set of the mounts let me know, price will be around $500 for the set. The pictures I have are of the first set I made and those were cut will a palsma cutter. These laser cut sets should be much cleaner and easier to work with.
I've been searching for a GT-4 gas tank for well over a year now and I've had no such luck. As most of you know the one I'm currently using is a bit on an eye sore. I spent ALOT of time designing one specifically for this conversion and the finished product is perfect. It will tuck right behind the rear diff and sit were the spare tire well previously sat, and will not be visable from the rear of the vehicle. The fill port uses your celica's stock fill hose and the fuel pump assembly will drop right in. My tig skills aren't the greatest so I had a shop professionally make these. Price will be $250 for the tank, capacity is 10 gallons. -------------------- 1994 Supra TT 1999 Cadillac Escalade (winter ride/tow truck) 1994 Celica GT-4 Converted 1998 Celica GT-4 Converted 1987 Corolla FX 1986 Corolla AE86 (Next Project) |

I can second this - I'd be quite interested. BTW, Malek, I'm up in Boulder also pursuing an AWD project! I'm very interested in doing an AWD project also,(I like the idea of a AWD Vert) been reading a lot about what's involved and apparently the fuel tank and the subframe mount is the hardest part. I'm hoping middle to end of the year (maybe sooner) to be in a position to buy a whole front clip with the rear assembly aswell and make it happen. Perhaps if you guys are in a similar situation we could all coordinate and do all 3 together lol,, My project is coming online this summer! Hopefully Mr. jmeyer will get on 6gc before then.. -------------------- |
