I have a 1998 GT lift back with 101k miles.

It started as a soft, rubbery feeling when shifting into 2nd 4th or reverse to not being able to shift into those gears at all. Once it got in gear it was fine. 1st 3rd and 5th work wonderfully. I can't shift into the bottom gears while the car is off.

Before reverse went out completely, I could roll the car in first a few inches, then shift reverse.

Ideas? Thanks smile.gif getting tired of finding inclines to park on and/or having people run out of stores to ask if I need help starting my car because I'm pushing it out of the stall:p

Sorry for the late response.

Nice find, thanks!

This might be a dumb question.. Maybe they're universal throughout make, I'm clueless, but how do I know which cables are compatible with my car?
