Ok I have been slowly building a rally car(94 Celica GT) to enter in a NASA Rally race. I have most of the essentials and of course the required elements to get into a stage rally but I dont have good suspension!!! After test driving and doing some offroad testing with the car the stock front shocks are useless!! The question is, in your opinion what is the best brand and most durable versatile coilover setup with the greatest bang for your buck. I am not interested in lowering the car much if ever but would like to be able to lift it as much as 1-2 inches. I have been researching Hotbits suspension which looks pretty stout but I dont know!! The K sports and BC's look kinda cheap(unreliable in tough abuse applications), but I dont know?? I am looking for some one who has put there suspension through hell(really tested the limits) and came out happy with there suspension!! what kind of set up do you have??? Thanks

I use hotbits, not saying they are the best; but better than anything else already made for the celica. Ksport, megans, are absolute crap... at least for rally.
JVAB motorsports will make you 46mm bilsteins for about the same price. If I had it to do over I may go that option, but they are non adjustable for compression/rebound. Hotbits run about $2,400 +/- the exchange rate for DT2s. Although I'd spend the extra money for the RSI's which are inverted if I had to do it again. That said, if you cant afford at least the base hotbits... just use the stocks for now and dont waste your money on megans or something like that. Really you're better off just replacing the tubes on the stock for cheap. Stock wont last long if you run it hard...but your first few rallys you're not going real fast anyways. If you're just bleeding money.... you could probably get Ohlins/Reigers for like $15,000-$18,000 haha but most likely out of your budget.
