So bc I'm thinking of switching to another 6gc, lately I've been attempting to come up with a complete and total vision of my car.
Now don't get me wrong, i think even if you don't have a masterplan, your celi will look nicer than most other cars but what makes some 6gc's look great rather than good is I think vision, planning before you spend 1 dollar. Making sure that you wheels match your overall style. That your spoiler and bodykit are complimentary, that you picked a color scheme & tastefully incorporate it in all you mods. For instance if you have blue neon underbody lights I'd think blue would be a major part of you cars overall color theme, but sometimes its the only blue thing on the whole car Now i know we will all never agree on whats good or not, but i think the majority can agree on a car thats great. So do you have a masterplan? |

When i had my Curren (Liftback) the plan was to upgrade to a 3S-GTE engine. When i was buying the engine from Japan though a year ago, i also came across a 1998 GT4 with $15k on the clock but damaged on left side and roof for about 7K. I got both. It took me around a year and another $4K in body shop and paint and my GT4 was done (replaced the whole roof with another roof with sunroof). Check pictures in my profile.
Then i was convinced by a friend of mine to get leather seats. I got them from auto-interior.com for about $750 (dark grey with dove light grey leather inserts-will post picts when i have time) The car was sitting too tall and so i decided to get rear splitters from Hedico for about $180 which i haven't yet installed. The car already has side skirts but i need a front lip. Its a bit difficult to find nice stuff at low cost and as i believe the bumper and bonnet of the GT4 are flawless, I dont want to replace with any veilside kit or something. So i am trying to find now a front lip. Near future plans: 1. Replace my 5-spoke 17'' (came with car black and then painted them Dove Grey) with some good gunmetallic 5-spoke 17''. The ones i have now have a very wide spoke and in general they are heavy, cheap and a bit ugly for my taste. I want spokes to be thin so that the 315mm discbrakes of the GT4 to be shown. 2. Lambo doors maybe? Looking for a bolt on kit. Dont want to start chopping again. Anybody knows where i can get a bolt on kit? Pistatio56 put a good link but their product is for the 7 gen Celi Decah.net lambo doors This post has been edited by neoklis: Mar 2, 2004 - 2:08 PM |
