Hello,
Tomorrow i'm going to make a start with removing my 7AFE so it can be replaced with my rebuild 4AGE 20V BT engine. I have a question though about removing and installing the engine. I'm wondering if it's possible to remove and install them without loosen the axles from the gearbox? Or isn't there enough room for it? This would save me a lot of time ofcourse And does anybody knows a workshop manual for the 7AFE? Can't find one at all. Thanks! -------------------- |

it'll take longer to work around not pulling the engine and tranny as one peice and installing that way VS leaving the tranny and axles in.
when i did my 3rd gen swap, i installed the motor before the tranny, cause i didnt wanna risk banging up the freshly painted engine bay, and ill tell ya, i wish i had just installed as one peice like i've always done. its much easier and faster to remove and install the 2 together. besides, i dont think you'll be able to seperate the tranny from the motor with the axles connected. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
