Well, I was with my friend this weekend over at UGA. As we were driving along, another friend cut us off. I was in the passenger seat with my friend daniel in his 350Z and he decided to pass them and get back in front of them for cutting him off.

Well, the road curved to the right, and a raccoon was in the road. We hit the raccoon and started to fish tail. My friend over-corrected to the right, so he tried to go left... when he did, we did a 180 and went across 4 lanes of traffic facing the wrong way. Barely missed hitting 2 other cars, then hit the curb sideways.

Then we went through this guys yard and took out a fence. At that point the back end hit a tree and popped the car verticle. It spun around and landed upside down in some kudzu.

Needless to say, the car is totaled. The amazing part is, my friend and I both walked away un-hurt for the most part. I cut my hand a bit and I'm a little sore, as is my friend, but we're alive. We took some pictures of the car the next day with my other friends camera. I'll try and post them to my profile if I can get the pics off him.

I will say this, the car definitely held up pretty well considering. 5-Star crash rating seems to be pretty accurate.

I'm glad you're ok dude. But if you look at the design of the 350Z...it kinda does look like a car that would be good in a crash...I dunno maybe it's a vibe it gives off but it looks like it's in a shape that it was meant to roll around. Anyways...

I'm 17 and have bought all of my cars that I've had, starting with the Celica which I paid for $3k of it right away and only owed 2k...which I finished paying off a couple months ago...I also had a 93 RX7 but it got stolen...with the money I got from that I paid off the existing RX7 loan and bought an 87 RX7 and then an 87 Supra...sold both of them and bought the Rex when my loan on the Celica was paid. It's not too hard buy your own stuff, you just need to have a full time job.

But very important lesson learned...if someone's going to be an idiot and do something stupid (like passing you or whatever at higher speeds) then don't follow in his/her footsteps and be an idiot too. It's always the second person/group that will get caught/dead.

i'm with snadman if someone is doing something really stupid on a public road don't do the same.. cause it's always the second person that gets thier car messed up....

I also think that when parents give their childern cars the should teach them how to drive them the right way... My first car was given to me by my dad so was my second and third... the first one being the most poweful of the 3 (320whp) but my dad didn't hand over the keys to me till he knew for sure i could handle that car if something went really wrong.. Those driving lesson sure have save my life a few times...
