Depends on how good your government is.
Same thing happened to me, cracked my rim and sliced the tyre. The amount of effort i would have had to take to get them to consider it, and have it shoved back in my face (the majority of people around here have) just wasnt worth it. They would have somehow put it back on me. As with the insurance, it would have cost me more/ruined my insurance reputation/would have shoved it in my face for having a modified 'illegal' car. In your case, i'd say, depending on the rim, and the damage, try look around online to see how other people have been successfull in your city, get a quote from insurance, and put it all up against fixing it yourself or buying a new one!! Sad to hear it though man, sucks the big one. -------------------- |
