The problem with our ST205 is that the flat 4 is mounted horizontally.
Ive heard of v6 implants but is it possible to do a V8? Think about it. Its about the same length as a straight 4, being 4 and 4 cyliners parallel just much wider meaning when mounted sideways, its fuller towards the fire wall and rad. So if so I could imagine relocating the rad further beyond the slam panel and it could work. Now what V8 made by toyota that can mate up with the E145 gearbox? My name is Raymond Wai. Co director of RT-Performance. We customise cars mostly but that also includes custom builds too.
I am the one who created such parts as many carbon fibre exrerior for the gt-fours. Our best example is Johnys grey ST205 which is the most heavily carboned known four around, true racing aero undertrays for track cars and front and rear braces for the 6G celicas. And its not ground breaking. There are many people with a grinder and a welding machine who makes hybrids such as V8 powered fiat 500s or M5 RWD powered scoobies. A close friend of mine is dropping a RB26 hybrid M3 transmission into an old E46. Why? because we can and its interesting and fun. For me its a challenge as Ive never built a mid engine 4WD car. Searching online I now know why its so difficult but that just makes me even more excited to take on the challenge. I dont have a point to prove but its nice to ask social networks for advice and to expand creativty. In this case its turning out more hostile and sarcastic then a creative and constructive conversation. This post has been edited by yellowchinaman: May 26, 2013 - 5:37 PM |
