So, a bit more on this. The initialization sequence is not for the Torque app, it's something that gets sent to the ELM327 - it's just configuration flags:
From: http://elmelectronics.com/ELM327/AT_Commands.pdf We get (removing the AT prefix, because that's just command type): IB 96 -> Set to 9600 Baud IIA 13 -> Set the init address SH 8213F0 -> Set the header SP4 0100 -> Set the protocol So, it should be really easy to do this on a computer, just connect to your ELM, send the initialization commands, and then start an OBD app to read from the stream. I think the ELM is also configurable to save initialization parameters, so it's possible that you would only have to program it once, and then could use it with any sort of OBD app - including iPhone I suppose, provided someone makes something that backs to an ELM. In other news, I would be quite grateful if someone could help me figure out what pin on the ECU is the data pin in the OBD port. (OBD only really needs two pins, and one of them is ground). I think it's pin5 off of the connector... -------------------- 2019 M2, 2005 S2000, 1997 4Runne
