Had some issues with the car when I got it here, had a bit of vibration so I took it in to Toyota.

Initial Diagnostics.

Needs a new boot on the front left cv shaft.
Replaced the Hub bearing on front left.
All rotors out of spec. So 4 new rotors
Said they can't release the pins for the calipers.
So 4 caliper mounts and pins.

3k????????

this includes pads, smile.gif lmao
and a coolant flush.

I have two celicas sitting at the house besides the one in the shop. So technically I can pull all the **** off of them and fix it myself, just don't have the time. I have the money, the question is am I being over charged. I don't like getting screwed. Thought I would toss this out there to the car gods of 6gc.

I worked for a Toyota dealership (in parts, not service). When I needed a new clutch I decided that I would just have the job done there because I knew everyone. The estimate was about 600$ which I thought was fair for the going shop rate of a dealer. After I dropped the car off they called me back and told me that it was actually going to be $1,500 because I had a turbo and they would have to remove the entire turbo to do the clutch job.

They just flat out make stuff up to anyone and everyone.

Not being able to release 4 caliper slides it totally bull****.
