Hi Guys & Girls
I am kinda new to this forum, but have been using it for advice over the years. I have an issue that would be nice to get some clarification before I go ahead with my swap. Basically, I have a 99 Rav4 with a 3SFE engine. The engine is damaged so I want to replace it as soon as possible. On the other hand, I have a 95 st202 3SGE Engine. I know that the engine will fit pretty easily, however, my question is to do with the wiring. Is there any way that I can reuse the wiring loom from the Rav4 on the 3sge engine as they are pretty similar. I know that I would need to use the 3sge ecu Thanks for any help on this |

i would say that the cylinder head is the biggest difference. both engines have a 3s block... 2.0L meaning that the "s" and "e" series trans are a go. the 3sgte is obviously a turbocharged engine with a more aggressive head configuration hence the "ge" opposed to the "fe" which is toyotas more economical design. mounts would be the same. you would probably just need management for the turbo set up.
