So Yeah as the topic suggests, I am thinking of getting a HID kit for my projectors...
I was thinking of getting this off ebay: eBay HIDs Anybody used this kit before? I am thinking of getting the 6k version, so that the light is white, but not so blue as to draw attention to it. I have done research on both here and on other websites, and so much information is just conflicting So, my questions are: 1) Will this kit fit? I am pretty sure it will since the Kit is H1 and so too is the Projectors... 2) How do these kits get installed? I am pretty sure it's straight forward, but I would rather be 100% than screwing it all up... 3) Where is the best place to mount the ballast (I want it pretty much hidden when the hood is open) I'll add more as I think of them lol... I do a lot of night time driving, so these should be beneficial and help me a bit... Any help is appreciated thanks I am new to this HID thing, and still learning lol Gotta start somewhere -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

Well my review of the eBay kit is negative.
Light output is good, but the supposed H1 bulbs are loose even with buffers, the wiring is pretty shotty, they flicker sometimes when idling and they interfere with my radio... Even after using some aluminum tape and ferrite cores to try and cut back on interference, they still do To top it off, the ferrite? covered wire running from the top of the bulb to the bottom, the ferrite (I think) shielding was damaged before it even went into the car. I am currently in negotiations with the eBay seller, going through the standard *clean the contacts*, check all wiring etc etc... I have also put an order in for a new kit, this is a local company based in Perth, Australia. They have good reviews and I specifically paid the extra for the Phillips branded bulbs. This kit also has a 3 year warranty with it. oping that this solves most of my issues. So, 'Sun Woif' brand is a brand to stay away from. -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |
