KK guys, im in a bind, and could use some help
My 3sgte 95 gt is having cv shaft issues. 3sgte Motor Second Gen S54 stock trany 3sgte clutch with the 5sfte flywheel and what not. Neways, I keep blowing axels since I got the car. Mechanic says its looking like there stretching and then there breaking apart. I had the OEM Toyota put in about 3 weeks ago and it blew. Then I went and had the oriellys one put in yesterday and the mech said it blew during the QA check ride. LMFAO. Im hurting. Anyways my question is, if my car is lowered, is there a different axcel that is better for the car setup? Such as a st185 or what not that fits into the s54 tranny? Something a bit longer to stop the stretching if that is the case that killing these axels? Any help or ideas appreciated. -------------------- Celica Enthusiast with no experience. O'Reilly's, Autozone, Advance, NAPA, Carquest, etc. don't carry the correct axles for the 6th gen. What they sell are intended to fit the 5th gen, that's why they are too short. I had the same issue, but I never drove on the one I installed from Autozone because it was 5mm+ too short. Someone at Carquest was able to special-order an EMPI brand axle, equivalent to Toyota OEM. I'm speaking of the driver side, in my case...
