So I have a 1996 celica and can't seam to find a afm. But my mates say all 3sges are afm... after looking on google image I saw and matched up what looks to be a map sensor.
reason is my car appears to red line at around 5,000 rpm. I get 90km out of 3rd gear. No one seams to know why. Im thinking along the lines of air/fuel mix.

try reseting ecu. either by pulling off the battery terminals for 10mins, or removing specific fuses.

check out the NA maintenance section sticky and you'll find the engine repair manual which has trouble shoot.

what fuel are you using? 95/98? could be bad fuel, or the gull stuff as they've taken the ethanol part out now, ruined their pumps.
