ok so I have a guy finishing up my swap and he sent me an email today with some issues, figured I could post it here and get some advise.
The only problem is the damn key on power issue. I changed out the EFI relay with one I had still the same issue. It seems to be n the key switch but cannot confirm it because the one out of the fifth gen isn't the same. I pulled out the suspected problem the plastic bit at the end of the key switch. I wiggled it to see if it was loose or so thing and it fell apart. Here's a link to what's happening before I took it apart. http://youtu.be/dP1mM_orTPc When you turn the key on to acc the check engine light and the oil light come on dim. When you put it half way between acc and the run position they light up solid. When they are lit up solid there is power at the ecu like it should. Once its completely on the run position the check engine light goes out and you lose key on power. Turns out there was no key one power at the ecu, pin B+ in the ecu pinout. That power supply comes inside the car. All the fuses are good so I will have to check a wire diagram to see what is causing this. Still cannot figure out why you do not have b+ power at the ecu. I'm still jumping the terminal at the diag box to start the car. Nick, Made some progress today. Got it to the point were I can crank it over but there is no spark. I changed to coil and ignitor out and I think it safe to assume its not the problem. I check all the fuses, made sure there is power at the both the coil and ignitor. It got dark and started to rain so I called it a day. I will do some research tonight see what if anything I've over looked.
