new-to-me 99 gt convertible badly needs a clutch. i'll be doing the work myself over the next two weekends, so hopefully that'll give me enough time.
i already ordered the parts (aisin clutch kit, timken seals, sachs flywheel), along with every nut and bolt i'm probably going to break in the process. this thread is just to ask for help along the way, post pics of my work, and get yelled at for not doing it the right way ![]() i plan on tearing it apart this weekend and putting it back together next weekend. then i can get it inspected and titled. -------------------- |

no you dont have to lower the subframe.
what you need to do is back out the trans just enough so it rotates on the input shaft. then rotate it around the rear engine mount -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
