Well guys its hard for me to say this but I think its time for me to take a break from 6gc.
There's been a lot of "talk" about the 1mz vs the beams here for awhile and I feel like I'm in a losing fight that I wasn't even trying to have between 2 motors I really like. I remember when I joined it didn't matter what motor you ran or what you done to it everyone respected you for it an would do what they could to help you make you celica better. I feel like we've all lost sight of this an are too focused on trying to say what's best for everyone an the rest isn't worth doing. Not saying I'm never coming back or I'm selling the cars or anything like that. I just think its best to take a break while I want to come back rather than wait till I don't want to. I've met many great people her that I am proud to call my friends celica or no celica. This site has taught me a lot an one day I hope I can do the same for it. I'll probably be back after winter with a whole bunch of updates on the 1mz. If anyone needs me I'm on the 6gc Facebook page. Pm me on Facebook or text me if ya got my number Sorry for the sob story post. Just feel like its something I had to say Thanks for reading Kurt95gt -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

I was getting sick of the V6 vs Beams / 3rd gen smack talk too..... except I thought most of it was going the other direction any time any new member wanted to do a 3S swap.... Anyway, ditto to the comments above, everybody has their own reasons for their choices and they should be respected. For me, I live in a RHD country and I like OEM so a BEAMS swap is on my agenda (unless I track down a st205... ) as it is a straight bolt-in job essentially and I don't have any mechanical experience. And here old engines like the 1MZ go for crazy money still anyway, so it is easiest to source engines straight from Japan. That being said though, I would love to feel a V6 powered 6GC too. If you want to take a break, go do that.... all the more time to concentrate on your car! We'll still be here when you come back (....... And you will ) -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |
