Hello! I was having trouble with my car the other day when i was driving it. Out of nowhere i started hearing some squeaks and scraping when i break or when im slowing down.. Also my steering wheel starts to vibrate when i break or when i go over 60 mph. So i went to shop and got it checked, the guys at the shop told me that my rotor was probably warped and needed replacing. They quoted me 460 dollars to do it -.- so i was like no thank you. I went to autozone and picked up new rotors and breakpads and decided to do it myself. After everything.. its still making the scraping sound and my break are not working as good as they use too. can someone point me in the right direction i what to do.

Also, what year and model car do you have? automatic? Manual? You said "I did flushed my pistons".... What do you mean by that? |

(THANKS BTW) I mean flushed like in your step 3 when you use an old pad and c clamp to flush the piston back in the caliper like you said. I have a 1994 toyota celica GT AUTO. |

Is there any way you can take a video so we can hear the sound while you are breaking? Also, did the vibration when braking stop after you replaced everything?

The vibration stopped when breaking. I was thinking to what cheela said and some of the metal clips are not bend but they are loose. i was thinking maybe when i break move out of place and hit the rotor. |

I am thinking you might be right. I would recheck the clips and replace them if necessary. |
