What's everyone's opinion on re-using flywheel bolts? I haven't poked into the service manual yet... just getting opinions.

the service manual and popular opinion says not to re-use them. HOWEVER I have re-used them on a stock application car and had no issues.
The bolt is a torque to yield meaning the bolt is stretched and therefore losses strength if used twice. but like i said, i have done it several times with no problems. There isnt an ARP bolt for the 5S-FE but the 7A-FE can use the 4A-GE ARP bolts and those can be re-used. torque for OEM bolts is 36 lbs and then turn the bolt another 90 degrees. ARP bolts is 58 LBS using moly lube or 80 LBS using 30W oil -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
