Hi,

I'm currently working on a st205 engine into a st202 (celica GT, european spec) swap. I bought the car with the 3sgte engine already in, but not connected (unfinished project). It is a jdm (RHD) engine in a LHD car, so the previous owner extended the engine wiring loom to enter the vehicle on the right side, but didn't connect anything yet.

Now the problem is there seems to be no connection on the wiring loom to power the intercooler water pump and also no connection for the water level sensor on top of the intercooler.

Is this something that should be in the car's wiring loom? Or has it maybe been removed because he was planning to run a FMIC?

It looks like I will have to make a custom connector for the water pump. Is it ok to run the water pump all the time, or is there some sort of ecu or temperature control for it?

Does anybody maybe know the color coding on the water pump wires? It has a 5 pin connector, 3 small pins and 2 larger pins.

The control comes from the ECU, via the main engine harness. The power comes from the power distribution center (Where all the fuses are)

You may, depending on what you have remaining of the harnesses. I would say its not okay to have it run 24/7. It will wear out the pump faster, be noisier, etc....

I can probably get those for you. But I might recommend one of two options as I think you might be in for some work.
1) Get a membership at GT4OC - they have all the service manuals and EWD (eletrical wiring diagrams) for our cars
2) Purchase a set of books off Ebay if you can find them.

anyway - let me know and i can get that info to you... but I am horribly bad at doing it quickly... so FYI

It will end up looking something like this... that relay box holds the W2A Motor Relay and the Fuel Pump Relay
