So, as some of you may or may not have seen the 2015 Mustang was revealed yesterday. It seems like a lot of people don't really care for it for some reason or another. I personally like it, there are a few niggles I have here and there. Overall I think visually it's an improvement from the current model, especially the side and rear profiles. The front everyone yells FUSION, but if you put it side by side to the current Mustang you'll see a lot of similarities with the one big difference being the headlights of course. After I gave it awhile I came to like it as well. It looks especially good in black, I think had the debut car been black it would've went over better. Even if you don't care for the looks too much, being 200-400 pounds lighter than the current model and featuring an independent rear suspension is kind of hard to argue with. The weight reduction is speculation I've read from site to site, but the IRS is confirmed. Also confirmed is the 3.7 V6, 5.0 V8, and the 2.3 I4 EcoBoost. I suppose the EcoBoost engine will be more for the Euro and Asian markets as it'll cost more and make less power than the V6, but should give mid 30's on the highway. The V6 and V8 will be getting a bump in power over the current model. I like where the Mustang has been going the last few years, and this seems like a big step forward. The Camaro isn't due for a remake until 2016, and the '14 refresh looks bleh. Which I was never a huge fan of how it looked anyhow, kind of clunky looking as is the Challenger. The Challenger weighs far too much, and the Camaro isn't too terribly far behind. The one thing terribly wrong with the Mustang is being addressed, so I look forward to its release. The one thing that let me down was the talk of it being a liftback, and it even looks like it would be, but it uses a plain old trunk... Same with the BRZ, huge miss there on both accounts. What I like about the Celica so much, despite being a small car there's plenty of cargo space. It looks like it might be hard not breaking my new car rule.

lol, once a customer, never a new customer dude. FRS is a good car, but a mistake on my part. not prepared to shell out thousands to get some minimal gain. and you are right, the FRS at heart is a Subaru. Hence Im trading soon.
This mustang called my attention, but a matter of principle, and a medical condition i have (I get hives if i get into a FORD or chevy kind of car) does not allow me to even considering buying one... Well maybe in the future, if i decide to see an allergist MD. But this model has its ups, and looks great. And will make a lot of people happy. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL
