Alright my father in law found a Toyota CT-26 Turbo in almost new condition and I am wanting to install it in my 5sfe celica and I was wondering if I really need to swap the head and go 5sgte? Or is it possible in low boost (about 4-9) applications, because if so in theory all I would have to is get a manifold made and then the normal turbo stuff; wastegate, intercoolers, oil lines, oil pan, 315 green injectors, etc.
Has anyone seen it done or done it themselves? This post has been edited by Poonicus: Dec 27, 2013 - 11:20 PM -------------------- "As a professor of science, I assure you we did, in fact, evolve from filthy monkey-men." -Prof. Farnsworth

Generally it is cheaper, faster, and more reliable in the long run to just go 3sgte instead of fiddling with the 5sfe.

Generally it is cheaper, faster, and more reliable in the long run to just go 3sgte instead of fiddling with the 5sfe. yes, the 5S-FE ECU is not boost and piggyback friendly. Im running a boosted 5S right now trying several tuning methods. Right now im using the AEM FIC again to try and tune it. I think the ODBII ECU is just going to fight me too much. If you have a pre 96 car then it might be a little easier. That is one of the options im going to try. Re-pin the harness for a 94 ECU, however that also requires running more wires and changing distributor because they are different. -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
