As the topic description says I have a strange knocking noise when driving down the road.
It appears to be related the wheels/ suspension/ driveshaft. It seems to come from the front nearside wheel. It starts at about 10-15 mph and gets worse around 30 then lessens but still evident as i go faster. It is in no way related to engine revs. Can feel it in the floor pans and steering wheel but not in the gear stick. I have tried changing the nearside front wheel for the full sized alloy spare but nothing changed. (so not a buckled wheel or tyre??) Anyone any clues? |

Just to add
Do they have balanced driveshafts like they did on the Rover Sterling?. My dad had an unballanced one and that is just what it feels like. I also once had a buckled tyre. This is what it reminds me of. |
