If it bears any resemblance mechanically to the LFA, 100k is gonna feel like the bargain of the century. How much did they learn building that animal? Probably the most technically advanced car in the world, other than the Mclaren P1. And they never made a profit on the LFA, so they're gonna want their development money back somehow, and putting technology already used (but relatively unknown and on a tiny scale) into an apparently brand new design could be the answer.
So if any of the tech from LFA goes into the new Supra, and they market it as such, everyone who knows how great that was is gonna be hammering Toyotas Showroom windows in. They'd be getting a 350k supercar at 1/3 cost! And if they can bring it in for say 75k with LFA tech, finally something to panic the GTR. We could have a battle not seen since impreza vs evo! |
