just took my Distro cover off, as my ST has a bit of a judder when accelerating at lower revs and I;ve started to investigate...

Here's the rotor arm:




looks like a fair bit of corrosion. questions:

1. could this be the issue?

2. it needs replacing, right?

yep, electicity don't want to flow so easy through crusty stuff

probably need the cap as well , check the inside pins where the rotor makes contact with them
