Hey guys, me again...

My electric antenna has decided to stop working, so i pulled it out to inspect the teeth on the nylon strip.... But half of it has broken off inside of the motor (not the teeth)

Whats my best plan of attack? Should i be pulling apart the unit? How do i do this? Or should i be paying Toyota about 300 bucks for a whole new unit??

Thanks guys smile.gif

to properly replace the mast.

1. remove the antenna

2. crack open the case of the motor

3. remove broken piece of plastic inside left over from previous mast, yes LOL (dont forget that plastic is non biodegradable)

4. put the assembly back..

5. turn on the radio... hear the motor work (until it stops or until you get tired)

6. Have someone turn of the radio, when the motor starts working, IT IS ONLY then that you insert the new mast, and it will eat it like its no tomorrow...
