As I'm sure many of you have seen on Facebook, we lost a member over the weekend. Stephen wasn't as active on here lately as he used to be but he's owned several 6gc's and was a very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful member. I know I've personally had to call on Stephen for help on more than occasion and he never let me down. If he didn't immediately know the answer, he wouldn't stop working until he'd figured it out. He was one of the first members here to take on the V6 swap, and he did it all himself. To my knowledge, it's all but finished right now, just needs the final touches. After he had it swapped and running he was planning on turbocharging his 3VZ, and I personally would have loved to have seen that finished up.
Although I never met him personally, we used to text back and forth a decent amount, keeping each other up to date on our small projects, asking questions, or just seeing how everything was going. I remember one night we were talking and he told me he found a way to calibrate a Celica's speedometer using a sound on his laptop. I thought to myself, no way.... Sure enough, he posted a thread that's now a sticky about how to calibrate your 6th gen's speedometer. When I reactivated my Facebook last year I saw that he'd gotten married and had a son, and my news feed always had at least one story from Stephen about his house or his family. He was a good guy with a big heart and he will be greatly missed by all. Stephen, may you rest in peace. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. This sucks to hear especially first thing in the morning. I hadn't talked to him in a while and was hoping to give him a ride in the Supra since he helped me out a lot with the last one.
![]() Matt, would you be interested in getting together and finishing up his V6 swap? Maybe see if the forum members will be interested in helping with that as well? -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

Matt, would you be interested in getting together and finishing up his V6 swap? Maybe see if the forum members will be interested in helping with that as well? I considered seeing what I could do to help finish it up but only if it's what his family and his wife would want. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. I'm willing to bet people around here would be willing to pitch in parts if we also used the project for logging notes to sticky for those wanting to do the same later. I've got some I'd be willing to send. -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]
