In my opinion nothing beats a mid engine rwd car. Superb handling and acceleration, a FWD celica wouldn't be able to touch that performance wise

Yes there is; the AWD Celi is unbelievably better.

Having experience with just about every sport Toyota model there is, i recommend you to do the swap. You do not have to change bumper and hood at all but if you feel they need to change, you can easily do exterior mods.

Performance wise, the car will be even quicker than the AWD GT4 due to lower weight. The swap to a 3S-GTE engine is very simple and hassle free. One thing though, the transmission may find it a bit difficult to withstand the power.

The MR-2 is nothing more a cute but fast little car. I would not say no to such a car but I am 6'4" tall and i have difficulties in my GT4 due to the roof being lower due to sunroof, so the MR-2 is out of the question for me.

I'm 6'4 and I fit into an mr-2, jsut barely though.
As well, After driving an mr-2 and various awd cars I can say that I prefer RWD to AWD in dry weather, I think that oversteer is good if you know how to handle it. AWD just cant seem to turn as quickly, and is more suited to bad weather conditions, or rallying.. for the streets in the summer I would definatley take a rwd car.
