Hey guys, so just recently I started getting a clicking sound when I drive my car. When I got over a bump it clicks bad and I'm starting to think that my front driver side strut is blown out. Seeing as my car is a 95 and I assume the struts have never been changed as I am the second owner, I was thinking about going with a nice set out coil overs (that aren't overly expensive) instead of just replacing the blown struts with new ones. My question is: what do you guys recommend when it comes to coil overs? I want to have something reliable but not too expensive, and I've seen a few online already (Megan, K-sport, etc.) that aren't too expensive. What do you guys run and how do you guys like it? If anyone could help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated.

If you take a look at the different brands and see what spring rates they set their coilovers they release for our car, you can probably find a company who has the set around the 5k range. MOST of the companies have them set around 6 or 7k out of the box.

But honestly, if you are going to lower it, you wont want the car bouncing around (a bit of an exaggeration) and the out of the box spring rates arent TOO bad, itll take a bit longer to get custom spring rated coilovers directly from the manufacturer rather then getting the off the shelf ones from a distributor.

Well the thing is that I want to eventually trade up to another 6gc with a manual transmission so I'm hesitant when it comes to putting money into this one. I do have to change out the struts so I figured why not put some inexpensive coilovers to see how it'll look. I want to hold off (as much as I possibly can) from modding this one until I get a manual 6gc, when that happens all the mods will happen. For now I want to make this my experiment car in the sense that I want to see what I could do to make it look good without putting too much into it. Like I said before, I don't mind a stiff ride because anything is better than what I have now and my car is just aching to be lowered, and having wider tires of course.
