Alright so I've decided instead of going 5sfte I'm just going to swap the motor to a 3gste and so begs the question what all do I need to know about this motor swap what's different form the 5sfe besides the ecu and stuff that I should get with the 3gste when I buy or pick one up? Are the mounts different, do they use a different transmission, what all can I reuse off of the 5sfe if the parts other than the harness are still good? Does it use an ignitor like the 5sfe. I don't know anything and I know what I've read on here and in my manuals and on the web about 5sfe I'd say I know about mid-high knowledge of the 5sfe and all the components. I don't know anything about the 3gste other than I can use some of the parts off of it to make a 5sfte.

Check out the stickies in the forced induction forum instead of engine/trans/maintenance. There's a lot more information there than there is in this section.
