What is this connector attached to the dipstick supposed to be for, I'm guessing it goes to an oil level sensor or something?

There is no harness anywhere that plugs into it, it doesn't affect anything I'm really just curious.

I think its the crankshaft position sensor but I could be wrong.

You should put your celica's year and model in your signature so we know what engine you have.


I think the crankshaft position sensor is used on the 96 or 97 and newer 7A-FE.
Since your's is a 95 that means that this engine was swapped in from a newer celica or corolla. You dont need the crankshaft position sensor or have a pigtail for it because the 95 ST utilizes a camshaft position sensor inside the distributor which carries out the exact same function, fuel injector and ignitiin timing.
