I have a package from a seller to a buyer, except I'm not the buyer. I've contacted the seller, he was supposed to be getting a hold of FedEx to get the package from me last I heard a week ago. I've also contacted the buyer with no response. The seller is over in the UK so sending it back on my dime isn't an option. The buyer is in Canada and I don't have any name or address to send it on to him, also don't want to do that on my dime either.

Should I just sit on this thing forever? I alerted the seller the day I got someone else's package but I'm sort of getting tired of playing chase. Unfortunately it's nothing I can use.

So did the seller accidentally ship it to you instead of the real buyer?

If so, the seller SHOULD give you a pre-paid shipping label - whether that is to correct the last leg of shipping, or to return it to the UK.

If the seller does not do that, or will not communicate with you after multiple documented attempts, then I guess that makes the item yours. Much like reporting money you found to the police. If the owner doesn't want to come forward to collect then it becomes yours.
