JDM/Euro Celicas vs USDM Celica.
Now that I've bought a set of BEAMS gauges for my celica, I'm wondering if the difference in speed between the km/h and mph models is determined by the speed sensor or the gauges. From a design point of view, it would be easier for Toyota to make only one set of gauges with a different face, where the km or miles per hour are determined by different sensors that are installed. Verses making two different types of gauges. But I don't know, I'm just guessing. I'm hoping I don't have to swap internal parts of the gauges. I'm probably going to just plug them in and see what happens. Also: I'm wondering if the BEAMS gauges are plug and play. I'm aware of the difference between the RPM counter side, this is why I'm installing them. I need the BEAMS rpm counter. how does the boost gauge work, it gets a signal straight from the ecu right?
