How often does this need changing ???
Have you guys done it if so how much did you pay for the change?

You can change it out in a couple hours if you know what youre doing, if you arent mechanically inclined it could kick your butt the first time round.

But if you go to all the trouble of changing it out you should also change the waterpump, oilpump and/or gasket, crankshaft seal and camshaft seal. May also want to change out the idler and tensioner pulley.

Easily $1000 to $1500 with parts and labor. I mean whats the point in changing the belt for preventative reasons and not everything else in that area? Thats why you should just leave it alone until something breaks. As stated its a non-interference motor which are uncommon. On most engines when the timing belt snaps the pistons will hit the valves, destroying the motor, but on ours nothing happens except the engine dies until the belt is replaced. Its your time(potentially stranded) vs your money(for something that may not need replaced).
