I had a pretty nice 95 Celica convertible with 230k miles. I just smashed into a deer with it. I found a 97 Celica ST with 150k miles for $500 with a blown engine. I am going to buy it and swap some stuff around to get a working car. My questions is, would you guys use the convertible or the ST?
The convertible needs -Front bumper -Fenders -Hood -Airbags -Windshield The ST needs the whole drivetrain replaced, since it has a 7afe and will be getting a 5sfe. Both are manual. So in case I didn't make the question clear, take the parts from the st and put it in the convertible, or take the drivetrain from the convertible and put it in the st? the GT was the one smashed and you want to put the ST drive train in it? thats a major downgrade and its not a direct bolt in.
