I wonder if I get that head how hard it would be to swap it over to a distributorless motor. I hate the distributor.

I wonder if I get that head how hard it would be to swap it over to a distributorless motor. I hate the distributor. Converting to a distributorless setup is relatively easy. However controlling it is another story. You'd be better off getting an EMS to control fuel/spark and leaving the stock ECU to control everything else. Unless you manage to retrofit a m/t Solara harness and ECU into the Celica. For the distributorless ignition you need: 1. Crank timing gear from 98+ engine 2. Oil pump with crank sensor provision from 98+ engine 3. Crank sensor from 98+ engine 4. Head from 98+ engine 5. Cam sensor and bracket from 98+ engine 6. Distributor block-off plug 7. Coil packs from 98+ engine 8. Wiring harness and ECU from 98+ engine Might as well get a 98+ engine, harness and ECU altogether. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold
