Im looking to swap my engine for a new one. My current 5sfe engine is leaking oil and it has almost 400,000km on it. with that said I am wondering what swap would be easier: 3sge 3sgte or the beams engine. I am also wondering if a clutch from a 5sfe engine will fit any three of the engines listed? thank you for your time.

10 hp will barely be noticeable. You'll know it's there if you are able to drive a Redtop and Blacktop in the exact same car back to back but otherwise you'll never know it's there. More importantly, the Blacktop will be a pain to swap in, and a money pit. You'll need to buy a Blacktop and a Redtop, and strip the Redtop for parts. The intake manifold and header from the blacktop will not fit in a Celica, nor will the mounts. Plus you'd need to either pay to have the Blacktop harness set up for the Celica or use a Redtop harness, which will still likely need work to fit a Blacktop. It's way too much work and money just for a measly 10 hp. The dual VVT-i is more or less just for emissions. The extra 10 hp from the Blacktop is from the increased compression. The Redtop is by far an easier swap, almost plug and play, and bolts right up to the GT motor mounts, trans, and axles, and many Redtops came with an LSD trans.
