Hello 6gc. I have a 1994 celica gt and my axle keeps getting stretched and then it breaks. I have a new control arm. The car was hit in the passenger fender over the winter but I used that same axle all winter and all summer. The problem just started happening now, 8 months or so later. I have a new control arm and a new wheel bearing. Any suggestions would be helpful I used an axle from advanced auto first. Then it broke. Then I bought another axle from advanced auto, That one broke in two days of driving. I am confused. The original axle lasted for a while after the accident. But currently axles are breaking hours after installation. not sure what the problem is. Anybody can help me please. Thanks in advance.

Don't order one for a 94.
Order one from a 95. I suspect they are giving you 5th gen (93) axles. I also wouldn't rule out the fact that many after market axles I've had have been terrible. -------------------- |

I suspect they are giving you 5th gen (93) axles. Beat me to it. I forgot the measurements but the 5th gen units are slightly shorter, when I installed mine the boot was stretched when the axle was static. Never drove on it. Only Carquest was able to order a factory direct replacement, I'd order from them. It was only $20 or so more than the Advance/Autozone/O'Reilly options. That axle has been holding for a year and a half now.
