Here's a sad story: I sent it to get painted at a local college becos labor was free. it sat in there for 1 1/2 years
Then when they were done in July 2008 i took it to the mechanic to transform her into an AWD. But I am now leaving the country to singapore for work for an indefinite period of time. The car still needs a ST205 fuel tank and the 2 front drive axles So i'll never get to drive it and experience the AWD =( If anyone wants to take it off my hands feel free to. if not she'll just be sitting at my mechanic's shop. ( he said he didn't mind me leaving it there) Please communicate through my email: longsbeans@hotmail.com. since the PM box here is so small -Bought car from Ryu3x16 in april 2006 -Clean title, -I know a place to pass smog, -the 3s has about 50k miles on it -chassis has about 140k -whats being installed now: brand new clutch and fly wheel, ST205 rear diff and the whole 9 yards. -Brand new paint, I only saw it for couple of hours driving from the college to the mechanic. - I pretty much prepaid for most of the work and parts already U can see my profile for more the existing mods. or here is ryu's profile of the car http://www.6gc.net/index.php?action=members&itu=774 ![]() ![]() *sob* EDIT#5: dropped the price to $5000. need to sell this...its been too long...someone takeover this baby of mine EDIT#4: Raymond(and the car) has now moved to 19949 Valley Boulevard, Walnut, CA 91789 EDIT#3: edited price becos its still not finished (fuel tank and front axles). The car's at 2875 South Diamond Bar Boulevard, Diamond Bar, CA 91765-3418 EDIT #2: just added some latest pics i took from the mechanic's shop. The celica's all dusty from the ashes in the air. I posted these pics on page 2 of this thread EDIT#1: Here's an article on a an engine project by my mechanic Raymond: http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredv..._sr5/index.html His facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/db-Au...161478583880746 This post has been edited by longsbeans: Feb 8, 2015 - 11:27 AM |

I bid 1.6k ON THE CONDITION THAT #1 the fuel cell/axle dilemma is solved so that when I go down there I can TEST DRIVE IT, #2 it passes smog not somewhere that you know "a guy" but passes smog, #3 new fluids on EVERYTHING, new fuel pump and water pump.
I know I'm getting myself into a headache if I were to buy this car... new belts all around, new gaskets all round, rust accumulation, brake lines possibly, new hosing throughout the car, who knows how a turbo or IC is affected with not being driven for so long, it still needs a fuel cell, the fact that I would need to drive this car 500 miles reliably after not being driven for who knows how long... the possibility that some college kid decided to be stupid with it and potentially ruined the engine gah! So many questions so little time. Know one even knows if the AWD conversion was successful or if possibly something is wrong. -------------------- Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)

I totally agree with everyone here . this car is most definitely not 5k anymore. Maybe what's fair is that the buyer take the car 1st, assess it and then post his findings(with pics of replacement parts) for the community to decide what's fair for the $. As long the community here can honestly vouch for the buyer. A little deposit before you take it will suffice. The buyer should also give a time line on completing the project. If not then this 'sale' might drag on for too long This post has been edited by longsbeans: Oct 13, 2014 - 6:42 PM |

I will give a small deposit after I see the car is fully functional and driving with registration and smogged. -------------------- Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)
