I'm in the middle of ordering a new set of wheels form Japan.
Problem is: the wheels with the offset I want only comes in 5x114.3 ![]() I don't want to use adaptors. So I want to know if the hub of the st205 has enough space for the extra 14+ mm diameter that I'm going to need to drill new holes and put new bolts at the desirable pattern. When I look the hub it seems possible, but I don't know if there is the clearance I need at the inside of it ![]() ![]() Anyone here that managed something like that? |

that's actually not a bad way to do it.
the outer ring ID is probably -0.001 of what the OD of the old hub, if cut on a lathe, its pretty well balanced. interference press fit...the majority of the stud is still on the original hub so the ring takes a little of the slack. not much difference than some stuff I make at work for planes, actually never thought about this use on car hubs. |
