Hopefully some of you will help me collect some data. Download a Decibel Meter app for your phone, there's a couple out there for both android and IPhone.
I have a N/A 5sfe with a manual, and no extra sound deadening. Sitting at idle I'm around 40 decibel, if I spin it up to redline it gets to about 69 decibel, and up at highway speed its between 65 and 69. If I push in the clutch it drops maybe 5 db. So what kind of levels are you getting? Especially you guys who've done some sound proofing i'd love to see what kind of readings you're getting. -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

I've been looking for a good free or cheap db meter for ios, suggestions? I use the JL audio App. It has a few other useful tools as well. ... My car is about 67 at idle and about 86 on the road. If i have my music going it gets around 97. I have some sound deadening but it's outweighed by the exhaust. |
