Since today, every time I brake firmly there is a single 'click' that comes from the drivers side wheels..

It doesn't click if I do a slow or gentle brake, only when it's a bit more firm.. I've tried in both forward and reverse and it does it..

Would anyone know what It could be?

Brake pads moving or ball joint?

Thanks

There is a Toyota tech bulletin for a single click in the brakes, it's caused by the loose fitting pads. When you back up and brake, they shift back and the next time you brake going forward, they click against the mount. Toyota's fix was add brake grease to the pad mounts to lessen the noise.

I'm wondering if some brass shim stock to get a better fit may be do-able?
