Hi guys.
Can any of you inform me what seals have to be replaced when you are replacing your timing belt? My car has 196000 miles. I want to change all the seals near to that part of my car. Thanks, |

at very least Always replace the water pump and the seal/o-ring that goes with it, the Idler and tensioner pulley and spring as well. While you're in there yes the Cam seal and Crank seal. If the oil pump is leaking then you shouldn't just replace the seals but replace the oil pump too.
the stuff like the valve cover and spark plug tube could stand to be changed to, but they are not something you are going to have apart to get to the timing belt anyway and you could just as easily do those later without taking the timing belt side of the motor apart. btw you can get the Aisin kit with the belt, pulleys, water pump and it's seals on rockauto for $90 https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.p...&cc=1274307 This post has been edited by VavAlephVav: Nov 28, 2014 - 6:01 PM -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
